As for Anton......well, he's soo excentric, i just have to love him; Bruce is hiddeous, and his best point is he's RICH, not funny, like the delightful Anton:biglaugh:
Have a great rest of the day, queen

Hi Helen,
welcome to the party!
Like you, im a nurse, and got a 10 and 13 year old; there the similars may end.......
I did a recce in April; what i saw impressed me; the city and the 'burbs all seemed clean, well cared for, little graffitti.
the kids seemed well behaved crossing the main roads going to school; at the marion centre at the weekend, and even on the beach!!
Having used this site, a lot!!, i see many activities; cycling; walking; surf rescue training; and from my own experience..........tennis clubs, bowls, etc etc etc. Then of course, befor the others bite me........there are regular "get-togethers", and it looks like an excellent support network...............THAT'S WHY WE CHOSE ADELAIDE.
It ain't nirvana, where is, but from the copious researching i have done..........it sure beats the (y)uk.
Good luck with the research

hopes raised and dashed in 1 go...................
love coro, such a nice area, from memory, and a house the size we want..........but......out of our range just now.
Because we are on a temp visa, we wont qualify for the first time buyers assistance:sad:, which really puts a dampner on it all!
wishing you the best of luck, with the sale, and the camel farm!!
Wish i'd married for money now.........

Well, you wolves fans SHOULD be kept on a leash!! Bet the poor girl thought you was from the funny farm ward........
I like wolverhampton, good shopping there! used to drive through there on the a41, when the killer 6 was busy:). Stopped once for a coffee, had a coupla cops follow me....a scouser in a saab? must have been pushing dope, like wolverhampton needs any more, hahaha.

Thanks, nicky and co.
i see it as an investment......the more quals he gets, the better jobs he can apply for, the more he can save for my nursing home
....
He is looking forward to having about 2 months to orientate himself to the area, meet people and realise oz is as laid back as he wants it to be!
-
cheers.
btw, no such thing as a "minor" op; espesh when its you on the wrong end of it:biglaugh:.
i did a sedation course recently, not that its any use now, mind.......missed the last 3 days so not qualified now, buggers! it's a bit scary putting some poor unsuspecting hernia patient to bobo's..................

Hi All,
good news. James has got an offer of a place at the city campus:); the course is in computer science stuff (dead easy, apparently).......starts in February.
got to pay up front:sad: and within the next 10 days!!
Oh, it will be fine, as long as the case officer now believes he IS dependent on his dear old mum for life, living and paying his way...........
Thanks for all your help guys.
See you in 24 days, yay

Ouch, painful! Poor you Clare...........tho' i must say, from the avatar, you dont really qualify for the 5 F's do you? 2 perhaps, but i guess the erroneous bug struck you:sad:.
I have really bad episode after ice-cream, which for me, is a downer; still the pain goes after a bottle of wobbly water, or maybe i just dont care after that:biglaugh:
Paul, i'm going to be working at that hospital...........what's it really like from a patients point of view? Are the staff ok? the view is good, i know that, having watched the golfers during my visit, and planning my lunch break around the 3 or 4 nearest holes:)........

Oh Cara,
i'm so sorry about that........
I keep reading how this is happening everywhere.........to so many people; rang the solicitors today......not much use tho', the best they say is all is going to plan! Not to my plan it isnt, my buyers buyers still haven't signed.......where this leaves us, god knows.
I hope you get sorted soon.
If it helps, which i doubt, we are going with only me with a job, about 15k in hard cash.....electronically transfered, and clothes... 4 kids, golf clubs and bugger all else.
Still, paid for flights, paid the packers, paid for the rental; leaves about 30 bob in the kitty.
Good Luck

Have you tried a direct approach?........
Pyk logistics in port adelaide might have something; the company in the (y)UK is being taken over by DHL; and from what i hear, will be expanding!
Let me know how you get on, i am looking for the same type of work for my brother who thinks he might check out oz next year:)
Good Luck

From what i gather; if you have PR, you can buy a house without FIRB approval.
can't help any more than that, sorry.........
-
What a shame; oh i am sooo sorry, Vik......the swine should be shot, or worse.
Result of this is, i am phoning my solicitor tomorrow and demanding written confirmation, by the end of the day.........
This "jumping off at Edge Hill" mentality is a nightmare.
Hope you get a buyer soon
