Question on NT tours

Has anyone been on the tours in the Top End? We are thinking of going on a 3 day tour taking in Litchfield Park and Kakadu and camping out overnight. At the moment we do not know whether to book a 4WD camper van or do the tour - I guess the tour would be more informative and they would know all the good places to go but we are a little concerned over the loss of control - not being able to stop just where you want to!

If anyone has been on a trip / touring we would love to hear your views.

Sorry never been but if you can going on a tour for a few days will give you an overview so you know where you want to visit next time. Good luck and enjoy heard it's amazing up there!
