Anyone changed from 173 to 103 parent visa?

Rethinking everything! I have recently applied for a temp contributary parent visa (173) and am now having serious doubts about the financial costs involved.I am considering the pro's and con's of changing to parent visa 103.

Has anyone else changed their visa application at this point and has it worked out for you ?
