Reynella East College?

Just moved to Reynella and am thinking about sending my son which is in year 11 there. He is quite sporty but is mainly interested in maths and science. Can anyone provide some information on what sort of school and people go to Reynella are like?

Hi Allan.

My daughter is going into yr 11 at Reynella. She has been there for just over a year now and really likes it. She spent the first few months wanting to go home and refusing to make friends but had loads of kids still putting in the effort with her. She is now settled well with lots of friends. Her grades are much better than the UK, especially maths and science. I know when we first looked they mentioned about all the sports available but my daughter is not very sporty. They have a golf program with the private golf club (The Vines). There is a fully equipt gym for the kids including all weights etc. They work with local colleges. university and have tafe courses running on site too. There are loads of options to cater for all abilities. There has been lots of buiding work which should be completed when the kids return to school. The teachers are very aproachable. So far we have found it to be a really good school.

Let me know if you have any other questions and i will try to help.

Hi

My girls have been at Reynella East since we arrived here in 2009, I have always found the school very good and the teacher very approachable. They were made to feel welcome at the school from the outset and are now going into Year 12 and doing very well. If I can help any further just shout.

Hi,

I have 3 kids at Reynella, year 4, 8 and 12.

My kids have been there since 2006, and overall have been happy with it.

What sports is your son into? They offer a wide range there. Football (Soccer) is being brought back in this year and we are looking to field teams, both boys and girls, from Year 6 up to Under 18's. We will be organising it, so if you want more info, let me know.

As for the school...they have recently spent alot of money on the school, including a new gym. Subject choices are good. It caters for a wide range of students, and i've always find them to be really helpful.

I have heard many good things about this school and my 3 children are due to start in the new year 2013 although in the primary. Lorluc my son will be gong into year 7 and will probably want to do the soccer so any info would be great. Thanks Aly.

Hi Aly,

Kids go back 29th Jan, and shortly after that, info will be available for the kids and parents, so keep a look out for notes/flyers coming home with your son. (being prepared at the moment).

Teams will depend on us getting enough coaches/parents to help out...

I'll let you know

Hi Thorpe1 Could you tell me which school in flinders? I am looking for a school for my 2 sons (11 , 12 ). They are v good at maths and science aswell and would love when we come over to stay in around November time that I could get them into a good school. What areas would I have to look for a house if the school is right for them? I cannot decide which area to go as all the areas seem really nice. My favourites at the moment are Port Noarlunga, Athelstone, Aberfoyle park and golden grove. Thanks for your help
