A few pictures from "Down South"

We went for a run the other day - down the Fleurieu Penninsular.

 

Lovely scenery down that way by Second Valley and Rapid Bay.

 

Stopped off at Cape Jervis to watch the ferries to Kangaroo Island.

 

I still cannot believe how quiet the roads are here on a Sunday!!

 

 

This is the Ferry Terminal at Cape Jervis.

It led to quite a big dipper kind of track...................yipeeeeee!!!!

Been a while since we've been down there, has anything changed? It would have been wonderful if there was a cafe or something overlooking the ferry terminal. Guess there's not enough demand though (just seems a long way if you're not catching the ferry, thats all).

 

I have to say, the locals were very friendly there. We got a full history of some local families who'd been living in the area for generations.

It never changes down there and doubt it will for years yet. Rapid Bay is like the Land where time stood still!

 

There is a cafe / coffee shop in the terminal building now. Not bad.
