187 visa and job prospects in Adelaide

Hi all, I'm new on here so just wanted to say hello. We are hoping to go down the 187 visa route, if an employer agrees to sponsor me, they're busy planning to determine if definitely a job, at the mo! Does anyone have idea of the 187 processing timescale?

 

When reading some recent threads, I'm feeling a little concerned about job prospects for my hubby as it seems that many people are being made redundant? He is an air conditioning technician. Any idea if there is much current work in his field? I would hope so because of the climate. Any advice would be great. Thank you

They advertise six months, but it can be anywhere from one month to a year. It's a bit of an odd one as they don't always go in order of who applied first.
