Uk House sold. Need to transfer money.

Last year i sold a sole property in the UK & now need some advice on tax implications & the monies transfer process.

 

I've had a look at the ATO website, but am wondering at what point do i have to notify the ATO ? Is it upon the transfer or at the time of submitting my next tax return ?

 

Can anyone recommend a good accountant ?

ETA - We use an accountant down south because she has some of our family as clients and they recommended her. She was great with our last tax returns. If you are happy to travel and want to give her a call I can PM her details.
