I had a crown replaced recently .......... So I received $903 back and it cost me $387.

 

Sorry , Jessica...I know this is pedantic -but no

 

-the cost to you was $387 + what you paid for Extras Cover + a portion of the Health Care Premium you were charged before you could even opt for Extras

I am not sure what you are referring to?

 

Yes agreed, you have to take into account the premiums you pay for as well. People need to do their research to decide if it works for them/their situation and if they will utilise the cover. For us, we are happy to pay the premiums and year on year always receive back more than we pay out, for example...

 

2014 - Annual extras cover premiums for a couple - $1152.83/Total rebate received $2628.70

2015 - Annual extras cover premiums for a couple - $1215.90/Total rebate received $3596.40

2016 (so far to end of May) - Extras cover premiums for a couple - $533.69/Total rebate received so far $1129.60

Christine at cross Rd dental. She has a lovely chairside manner. They are affiliated with Bupa if you have Bupa insurance. They also have some payment plan scheme for costly treatments.
