Private Health Cover for 489 Visa

Hi all,

 

I need advice on taking health cover (private) as 489 visa don't give government rebates or cover us.

 

Please advice which company I should be looking at.

It's hard to say what you should take out cover for. I'd say whatever you feel best suits your needs and budget.

 

I would look to getting ambulance cover though.

I can't really offer any suggestions I'm afraid as we got our cover via a family member being a former employee of a company that meant we got a good medical insurance deal.

Have a look at canstar.com.au. They rate the policies as well as giving you an indication of price. There is also lots of information and articles about what health insurance covers and what to look for in a policy.

Hi amit, we just got cover off bupa, there are 4 packages we had the choice of....so it depends on budget and what your after really, they were really helpful, great customer service

I was looking at the compare websites and got quote from 2 companies on basic cover with ambulances from NIB is is good. Bupa is great for additional cover as well
