Region codes for DVD players?

Has anyone had any luck changing the region codes of any DVD/Blu Ray players brought from abroad to play Ausi DVD's?

Unfortunately none of the codes seem to be working for me

We were not lucky, either 3 1/2 years ago due to the fact that our 'European' DVD device was too old . No possibility of changing the region code, Australia 'non existent' for that device. Bought a new blue ray player and we still use the old DVD player for our old movie collection.

I have been quite successful with LG's!

Your local Big W has cheapy dvd players (Lazer is the brand). They are less than $25 and they will have stock next week. They are multi zone. I started out with $200 LG combination dvd players but just have the basic models now!

Yes I also have found all new dvds tvs purchased here are multi region

We've always had multi region and they are cheap as anything these days.
