Have your kids discovered some Aussie authors?

If you are not long here or perhaps not familiar with some of the popular Aussie kids books then you have a few to discover :smile:There are some great Australian writers out there and some happen to write great kids books.

 

I'll recommend the 13 Storey Tree House book and its follow ups, the 26, 39 and 52 Storey Treehouse. By Andy Griffiths, they are a series of books with illustratrations by Terry Denton. My son is loving reading them and most of his mates have read some if not all of them too. I'd say age 6/7 up depending on the reading of your child Books are around $10 in the usual places like Target, Big W and KMart.

Also if anyone is interested or your kids have already discovered these books and enjoy them, they may also enjoy the talk coming up in September by Andy Griffiths. Apparently last time lots of kids were there and his talk was really good with lots of laughter and engaged kids
