Booster seats

I have Maxi Cosi Rodi booster seats for my kids (8y, 6y and 4y) and want to bring these out with us. Does anyone know if they will be ok to use? Not sure if it's just the stage 1 and 2 car seats that need to have the AUS safety approval stamps on them to be legal over there? Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I think that all car seats here have to have the Australia safety stamp on them so your car seats would not be legal here.

Yeah. That's how I understood it too. They all have to have the Australian safety thingy on.

What the others said is correct. Unless a seat has been tested and approved to Aus standards its not legal for use here. Plus Australia uses the top tether which the UK does not. They use height markers here now too so its easier to know when to move your child up to the next level seat rather than going on age or weight.

 

FWIW you can buy a very highly rated (in the Aus safety tests) high back booster seat for about $70, its RRP is more but its often on special in Target etc.
