Now my question is that, since my state sponsor is by SA. do i stil live n work in any regional area of some other state like victoria or NSW.?

The above statement which i have copied from my grant letter. I give feeling that it is not neccesary to live in regional area of that state who ha sponsored you..

Please advice me clearly.

My skilled category is 312412 and my state sponsored is SA.

You are permitted to work and live in ANY regional area. If the minister forms the view that you did not intend to live in SA when you applied, you could face consequences.

@Strikker ...Technically when you apply later for a permanent 887 visa, DIBP will only look if you have lived and work in a regional area in your nominating state or in other states. But we never know, they might imposed a stricter regulation regarding this matter. Your nominating state might demand DIBP not to approve you for the 887 visa(only my assumption). With the current regulations, staying in your nominating state is just a matter of a moral obligation since you agreed to stay in that state when you applied for sponsorship. I've come accross state sponsored migrants allowed by their sponsoring state to move to other state on the grounds that they cannot find jobs and were allowed to. In your case as a 489 visa holder, you can only move to regional areas in other state otherwise you are in breach of that condition and can be a ground of deportation. Fyi, im also on a 489 SA sponsored visa and already applied for the 887 visa

Hi WGAR, I am based out of Adelaide too and have a 489SP visa and soon would be applying for my 887 too, could you please tell me what were the documents you submitted and how as I could not find any place where I could submit my visa grant letter or anything for the process to consider.

Secondly did you get your 887 granted yet?
