Recommendations of Residential areas

Dear All,

My husband and I are moving to Adelaide in couple of months from now and we are relocating from Dubai. We are in our mid 30s and working professionals. Wanted few recommendations on an area/ Suburbs to look at for a house.  We would definitely need a place with access to public transport, restaurants, cafe, Cinemas. and Park or Beach close by.

It would also be great if we could a recommendation on what site to check out houses. Somebody mentioned getting houses from Real Estate agent in absence of job, (Since we intend to search for a job once there) is tougher?? Any tips to help in this are much welcome.

Thanks

Hello and welcome :)

realestate.com.au is a good starting point for rentals. Check that and go from there with regards to agents etc.

If you want all those things then perhaps the city coastal suburbs from say Semaphore down to Seacliff would be worth a look. I'd personally look at Henley Beach, Glenelg and Brighton but that is just me. Others like elsewhere more :) Glenelg ticks all your boxes as it has the cinema, tram line and buses, parks, cafes and restaurants along and off Jetty Rd and then there is the square with a lovely beach. Its a bit of a hot spot with locals and popular on weekends and hosts various events over the year.
