Please check your immi account and your emails for a bridging visa grant message.  It will be there.

If it is not there, urgently contact immigration, otherwise, as of 1 August, you may become illegal, and you don't want that. Good luck!

This is a terrible situation for you and your wife  I think, you should consider going to another regional area, different state. Just start looking for any jobs you can possibly find in any regional postcode in Australia and then you find a job, if it is in a different state, contact Victoria migration authority and ask them to release you, show them that you are struggling. Even if you go to another regional area without permission from Victoria, you are not breaching visa conditions. You can do it.

Actually, this is true that someone mentioned further in this thread: you have completed 2 years in your state (Vic), now you do not owe them anything, you can go to another state. But it has to be regional! 

But I am afraid nobody will allow you to work with 489 in metro.  Theoretically, you can, but once you are found out, your visa will be cancelled. Please, don't risk it.

I think, after your current visa expire your 887 bridging visa will start.

Hello everyone, my name is Rupom. I am a silent follower of this group. I need some help from the lovely members of this group.
I am on a 489 visa (Regional skilled) and I have applied my 887 visa on 28th of March 2019. Obviously i don't expect my visa to be granted before 2020. Unfortunately you can’t go to Metro you will get visa rejection if you go. They will not give special consideration because most of us here are on the same boat.

It is really bad to hear about you. Which field you use to work? Living in regional area is only for 2years out of your 4 years 489 visa duration. Since you have already applied your 887. which means you met your requirement i.e 2 yrs of Stay and 1 yr of  Full time job. Now, why do you need to request to authority. Apparently, you are free to work anywhere in Australia now.

Hi Chandra

IMMI will not send you any Bridging Visa again. It must be issued when you applied 887 and in your immi account inbox. Your Bridging Visa-A will automatically get active once your 489 visa will expire and will be valid till outcome of 887.

Make sure you take Bridging Visa-B, if planning to visit abroad before Grant of 887.

@Rupom Russki is right, no working or living in non-regional areas under 489. If you want to have more choice, move to South Australia. The whole state is considered regional, including the CBD. You will have the freedom to decide where you want to live and work in the whole state.

my suggestion is try to looking for a job in another regional such as NSW, ADL or some where. because we can move to anywhere within regional! 

moving to Metro will get your visa declined or rejected and all your efforts would go away.

In addition to that , if you have to submit timesheets for work etc you can add them too

I know your suggestion is the safest way to secure a direct grant. But do you think all the group certificate, notice of tax assessment and superannuation statement already proves my employment? I will ask him anyway. And also I've got my detailed timesheet with recorded hours for every jobs that I did. 

Does anyone here already get contacted to submit payslips when you already submit the others? Are COs strictly asking for payslips in most cases? Does it need to be the whole full year payslips or I can provide partial, like 2-3 months or so.

I am pretty sure that Immigration will ask for payslips so don't take the risk because I had similar situation and my agent refused to lodge my file so I wait for 6 more months to get proper payslips and lodged.

That is true mate, if you look at the visa condition it clearly articulates that we have to live and work in the regional postcodes mentioned until we get the 887 so please don't risk all of the two years of hard work.

And by the once you apply for 887, you become eligible for Medicare. Many of my friends have been paying private health only to learn after so long. Some migration agents do not advise about it.

Hi dhle,

while it makes sense for us that those documents are good , like skaur said it's almost very likely that the co will come back to you and ask for all payslips for 12 months they have even asked people who already provided all payslips to provide certified copies just to drag finalizing cases so if you don't provide all  ps for 52 weeks there's a 99% chance that they will ask for it at a later stage,  if they ask you for them  12 months after you submit 887 it will be more difficult than now for you to obtain them , i know how difficult it is for us to get things done when working for a small company and have no hr or payroll  , but since issuing payslips are a must for an employer regardless of how small the business is it's better if you can try and ask for them atleast for the 52 weeks before you submitted 887 , i think it's best to be on the safe side
