I don't know why this keeps getting delayed 😞

A week back it was 16-17 months. So sad 😞 😞 😞 😞

If you get your documents in order then you will not wait that long. As can be seen by very recent grants, it takes between 13 and 14 months. If you don't have your ducks in a row then you will be waiting 18 to 21 months. Be positive and avoid listening to the negative comments on this forum, they don't help

Happy to assist..

Here is the response from an expert ( MA/Media Professional/Lawyer) about the current situation,

Do we have any direct contacts with the listed media agencies?

Dear Team 887

Thank you for contacting me about your situation.

As a migration law firm with specialists in the skilled visa area and interest in regional migration, we are aware of the difficulties you are facing, and we certainly sympathise.  I am not in a position to write about this myself, but I would strongly suggest you reach out to media outlets such as SBS, the ABC (particularly ABC regional) or the Project, all of which have shown great interest in the situation of people such as yourselves who have fallen into bureaucratic holes in terms of their dealings with the Department of Home Affairs.

I  do hope you are successful in getting some publicity - and better, some action - for your group.

Best wishes

Thank you so much for your effort; did anyone get in touch with the SBS journalist?

Further to above, SBS have responded back and are interested to hear back a couple cases to cover the story.

Seniors group members/applicants stuck in this bureaucratic hole can assist to collect this stories and share them with SBS.

Please note SBS have requested only Couple of cases, who can provide Name and contact details and explain their situation via email. please respond if you would like to share your story. We can discuss this further.

In best interest of all we need to provide the cases which provides a clear and holistic view to the situation.

Given that we have received some support, its best we utilize the opportunity correctly to reach a solution.

Seams like both of us applied in December last year. Processing time keep changing I believe our file will be assessed soon without further delay. If the processing time is changing that time immigration will not pick up any more file until they fall on timeframe. That's the one I am afraid of, anyway they are processing early July now we don't have many applicant until November. Hope for the best.

Look forward to seeing more grants coming this week.

Actually in June they increased the processing time to 16 - 18 months, and then reduced to 16 - 17 months in July.

So there is still a chance the processing time will decrease next month.

At lease the gate for July has opened, good luck to us all!

Hi,

I applied in August and as per my last discussion with immigration, they will first clear out all the applicants before July 2018 and then move on. So more than I care to admit, there is still a decent waiting time left.
