Hello guys, now I am worried about the 2 years residency requirements before applying 887. I read some of the posts regarding the time spent outside Australia after 489 grant is included in two years residency requirements or not. My agent told me the holiday is counted in 2 years so I applied. My story is:

1. Started to live regional in Jan 2017.

2. Got invitation for state nomination in Apr 2017.

3. Applied 489 in Apr 18 and got the auto bridging visa on the same day.

4. 489 grant on 18 Sep 2017

5. Went overseas for 2 months on 16 Oct 2017

6. Applied 887 on 18 Sep 2019.  ( 18 Sep 2017- 18 Sep 2019) 2 years Total.

Do you think I fulfilled the residency requirement?

Usually around 4 weeks per year is allowed without having to compensate , when u were waiting for 489 did your bridging visa come into effect?

Hi guys, during the time I went back to home country, I made a short trip for 4 - 5 days to Thailand and Taiwan each year in the 2 years. I am wondering if I need to do PCC for Thailand and Taiwan as well? Does anyone get request from CO for these scenario? Many thanks.

No need to provide pcc for few days of leisure trips

After I applied for 887 I changed with another job which seems for a short period now due to employer's money mind . As I already fullfilled my work requirements do I need to update the current short term work? Please advise as I am not sure whether to mention this as an change of circumstance and also not sure whether I will be in this job  for another couple of months.  Looking forward your advises. Thank you.

For job u dont need to but for residency address u have to.

Mate, my personal advice for the peace of mind is to withdraw and re-apply on 18 November, unless you are pretty sure it is okay. The rule is 2 years (730 days) IN REGIONAL AREA

Don’t worry guys I am in the same boat. I applied through one of the oldest and well known MARA agent. Even I spent about 5 weeks in India. According to my agent he has applied heaps of cases like that and never had any issue. Don’t worry. Be positive. emoji52.png

Best to re-check. usually its 4 weeks per year as far as I know. Maybe check with some other Mara agent. I know a Mara agent who took stuff too easily and then screwed up big time. At the end it's your application

if you applied in 2019 there will be no issue, but you might need to apply for a new oversea police clearance

Hi everyone, Holidays are all good even when you are in process of this transition. Yes the visa might get bit pushed out bit more.. when one can wait for 15/16  or 22 months.. 3 /4 weeks should not bother much.

Don't Stress yourself with the visa status so much that you forget have a peaceful life and enjoy it.  It is a challenge for many of the applicants.. but taking stress is not helping either.

It will happen sooner or later.Till then enjoy what you have in hand.

I will apply once back; its easy peasy process....thanks much!!!

yep that's correct you have to apply for another PCC for the period you have stayed.

If I am you, I will get a PCC for the period I stayed in my holiday plus for the period I stayed in my home country before moving to Aus knowing the fact that PCC could get expired when our application is considered by a CO. Getting a PCC from my country is not that difficult too..its an online process.

Hi,

I was in 489 visa and I applied 887 in April 2018. A case officer has been allocated and he has requested some documents in June 2019. After that I haven't got any reply. I'm planing to go to another country for 1 month after applying bridging visaB( currently I'm in bridging visa A). However I have heard that if someone apply for briding visa A, the processing of 887 will be stopped.

1 is it true?

2 if it is true when they stop the processing? Just after applied for bridging visa B or just after I left Australia?

3. Approximately how long will it take to grant Bridging visa B?

If anyone can reply my queries it would be awesome,

Thanks

1 is it true? - not exactly

2 if it is true when they stop the processing? Just after applied for bridging visa B or just after I left Australia? - 99% of the times you get an email from CO informing you of pre-grant and advising you to let them know when you are onshore

3. Approximately how long will it take to grant Bridging visa B? - i dont know sorry probably someone else might be able to help

If anyone can reply my queries it would be awesome,

Thanks

I have tried to answer; please see my inputs....

Hello Seniors,

Post getting medicare card, are we elligible for Child Dental scheme benefit?

My daughter is 17 and all her immunizations are free; but as far as i know yes you can get all the immunizations and dental covered for kids. Applicants with smaller kids might be able to give much affirmative answer. Also the best way is to check with your GP...
