887 Visa - What's the update?

Hi, I got contacted by case officer first time today, he asked further documents. One year payslips which I have already submitted when I applied 887. Also, for 2 years residency proof he asked me to provide( bankstatment, crosspondence and utility bills). @Russki or other senior members please can you tell me What does crosspondence mean here and what documents I have to submit for this? Applied: 04/6/2018.     Contacted: 14/6/2019.  Case officer name: Grant

My CO is Regina. I guess I lucked out on the CO allocation. No grants from her for a long while now. Worst case is she goes on vacation leave. 

Congrats to all those who got their PR visa. Still waiting and hoping. 

I agree. It is such a pity how they treat 887 visa applicants. We pay taxes and yet it seems like they are giving us such a hard time attaining that PR status.They also kept on increasing processing times, which is now up to 17 months while 189 and 190 visas are getting approved more quickly.So frustrating

You are lucky sir. Ive seen quite a few grants lately from CO Grant. Name says it all

my friend who applied 11 march got his pr today nsw regional .he was contacted by co on second week of may got his pr today with one kid.

Hello everyone!

I have been silent follower here. It was a great support when I was waiting for the grant.

Finally I got my direct grant today 14/06/2019

Application: 15/05/2018 from Adelaide

CO Micheal

I went abroad for 10 weeks and waited that period of time before my application to fulfil 2 years of residency, I don't know it was necessary or not but I stayed on safe side. 

I have submitted my updated AFP and driver licence too on 25/05/2019.

Applications are for me and my husband

Thank you everyone for being together in this journey. 

Congratulations for those who already received the golden email, and wish you good luck for others. 

I hope you all will get it very soon.

Yea call from case office it was unexpected!! He asked me about the place where i stayed for six months, it was a lodge sort of hostel. I had provided reference letter, he tried to call them first no answer as CO mentioned so he questioned about the place and was asking if i could provide any other evidence so i asked to have a look at my bank statement that was it after 10 mins i recieved grant

How can March/April/May/June grants be granted be4 they’ve opened n looked at the October, November/December/January/February grants???? 

So not fair...  

 SA have not looked after the ones they have sponsored over!

Done everything they asked and submitted everything they emailed us to submit after 24/hours...!

My husband can’t get a better job because he’s no PR n our visa ends next mont n my son wanted to join the police force but can’t because no Pr n my other son can’t go to University because it’s to expensive without our PRs... so I’m a little niffed

I'm just guessing here. I think it's things like letters that you receive from trustworthy institutions like banks, universities/schools, or govt. institutions with your name and address on them.

Probably any letters you have received under your name at your address , letters you get with bank debit cards attached , insurance , road side assist membership/ policy letters , working with children/ age proof cards  letters , any government / council issued letters such as pet registrations / vehicle rego renewal notice etc. more government issued ones the better
