Sometimes I think the organisation and labelling of the documents as well as the various description given to each document uploaded plays an important role in clarity for Case Officers.

I presume maybe poor or ambiguous labelling might cause CO to presume absence of evidence hence further request same evidence. That's what I think anyway.

Let's all try and organize our documents and label them with much CLARITY

Hi

I applied for 887 in June 2018 and then I received an email for more documents and further assessment in June 2019.

Unfortunately I didn't get that I have just 28 days to provide documents and after 3 months I sent them. Now I still waiting for respond from officer.

Do you have any idea how can I follow up my case?

What type of labelling? My husband works in coles so payslips should be ok . We provide residency ledger and tenancy lease agreement. Also upload other documents as well . So what type of labelling should I use?

What it mean like if you upload payslip combine them in to one file and name Payslip Coles. Otherwise it will be hard for case officer what has been uploaded and what missing. Some time people never level them appropriately leave them as it is 12345678.pdf which cause confusion to the case officer. I hope you understand now.

Could you guys suggest which option we should choose to send to homeaffair on the complaints link:

https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-and-support/departmental-forms/online-forms/complaints-compliments-and-suggestions

There are three options: Complaint, Suggestion and Compliment.

Which visa should we choose as there is not visa 887 on the visa list.

Thanks for the advice.

It regards to the labelling and organising documents for your application.

What also helps is to provide a document which is called: DECISION READY CHECKLIST.pdf

I did it in my application. (I received our direct grant 11.11.19)

You create that document yourself (in Word for example) and in that document you provide your CO a full overview of all documents provided in your application.

For example:

"Hi Case Officer,

Thank you for reviewing my application. I thought it was a good idea to give you an overview of all documents I supplied to make it easier for you when you assess our application.

Please find enclosed:

Proof of identiy:

- doc 1 xxxx.pdf > passport

- doc 2 xxx.pdf > birth certificate

Proof of residency:

- doc 3 xxxx.pdf > lease agreement

doc 4 xxx.pdf > utility bill

and so on..."

It is also a good guideline for yourself to see if you have submitted all necessary documentation.

An agent I spoke with told me this TIP which apparently case officers really like so I immediately created such document and uploaded that in my application.

If you call this document "Decision ready checklist" your CO will definitely open this document first and use it as a guideline going through your application.

Hope it helps!

Good luck to all!
