Anyway Thank you all my well wishers, specially thank you Sugarboy. I wish from my heart to all delayed applicants to recover the Immi pain.

May be I couldn't log in or write down here every day, but at least once a day I came here to check the update or read and learn something from you guys. I will miss this forum and you all. Good luck. If anyone wants to ask any question about my application, I will happily reply you.

Hi mate, may be you already know about the following news, but also share this for who don't know yet.

"The Migration Programme planning level for the Skilled Nominated category now has limited number of places left for the 2014-15 programme year. This means processing times will be longer and that once the remaining places are used, the Department cannot grant further visas in this category during this programme year.

Processing of these applications will continue although it may still be some time (usually not before 1 July) before a final decision is made.

Should the need arise applicants can check the Department’s website (http://www.immi.gov.au) for any updates regarding application processing or changes to the Skilled Migration Programme.

Did you get this mail in regards to an 887 application? When I google after "Skilled Nominated" then I get a reference to subclass 190.

887 is called "Skilled Regional" not nominated.

Just a thought...

Sorry, I posted earlier a part of the news. Here is the rest-

"Planning levels – Points-tested visas

The Migration Programme determines the maximum number of visas that can be granted in each visa category. Applications for this visa are processed in line with Migration Programme planning levels. These planning levels have precedence over indicative client service standard timeframes."

As it says "each visa category" so I guess that will effect on 887 sub class as well.

"Planning levels – Points-tested visas" - 887 visas are not point tested.

We already went through the point test and there is a pathway for 475/478 visa holders.

And whether we are on the old 475/489 visa, on a bridging visa or on a 887 is in my opinion no difference because we are already in the country.

The quota makes to me only sense for new migrants which have to go through the point test.

Nothing's impossible but I doubt it.

The process is the same, it's just another number but there is no major difference between 475 and 489.

Cheers.

Hi,

Can tell some one whether do we have to provide police reports when I will apply for 887 visa application for the countries where I lived more than 12 months prior to apply 489 visa application as well. As I have already provided these during 489 visa application and also I did not visit, once I have moved to Australia with 489 visa.

I can understand, I have to provide the police report for Australia where I have been living until day I applied for the 887 visa, but is it really required to submit the Police reports for countries where I lived prior to apply 489 visa.

Same here. Applied on 28th April. No update yet. Keep in touch.

Applied 887 from 475 on 28th April. Waiting for the response. Came across a few people who got the direct grant after applying in May. Btw this is about 2015 application only.

Have you sent an email to your team to let them know that you have uploaded all details?

When I asked in December 2014 for my 489 (extention), CO told me it helps to drop them an email.

Received the email from CO. Asking for 1221 and address details for the first few months when I was living with my cousin before moving out. Puzzled at the moment as I am asked to produce utility bills or lease agreements. I have neither for that period. Any help?

I think your cousin needs to write a letter to verify your residency address for that period and sign it in front of a JP (to certify) and then attach your cousin bill for that period with your letter and submit it to your CO.

I agree with againstthewind. Even better is a statutory declaration signed by your cousin.

Is the address maybe on your driver('s) license or car rego?

Just try to remember if you have received any post to that address what could help to proof that you have lived there.

When you have pictures of house and room I would provide that as well. (That's what I did with our room we rent however, I have no proof yet is this is good enough as my application hasn't been touched yet)

Hope that helps...

I might be in same boat as you..

I dont have lease agreement for 1st year,

But isint like a Employer letter stating you worked there plus the payslips also attaching taxation documents should be proof enough?

Might also attach my driving licence, rego papers of my car, Bank statements for whole past two years?
