You're not alone! Many skilled migrants want to get their UK mechanical fitter qualifications recognized in Australia. Here's a general guide:

  • Skills Recognition Authority: Contact the Australian Skills Recognition Authority (ASRAI) (https://www.tradesrecognitionaustralia.gov.au/) They can assess your UK qualifications against Australian standards.

  • Process and Costs: The process typically involves submitting your qualifications, work experience evidence, and potentially a trade test. Costs vary depending on your specific trade and assessment level, but you can find an estimate on the ASRAI website.

There are also trade recognition specialists who can assist you with the process for a fee. They can guide you through the specific requirements and paperwork for your qualifications.
