If students go to school on the bus do how much is it likely to cost per week?

10 trip metro ticket for students at the mo $9.20. Each trip is valid for 2 hours from the validation of the ticket and it must be revalidated for the last travel by two hours after, doesn't matter then if you are on bus or whatever for 3 hours as long as you got on before the 2 hours was up. You can also transfer between buses, trains etc during that 2 hours. This is the cheapest option as a single ticket which is still valid for the 2 hours is $1.80ish. It's just a bummer if they lose the multitrip!

Or store it in their bag next to their mobile phone so the magnetic strip on it stops working!!!!

 

Just bought another one for Her Highness this arvo and so can confirm that it does indeed cost $9.20!

you can take it into the metro office in King willie st in town and they will give you a replacement, minus what has already been used. You get given a green slip from the busdriver and you can also post it in. Of course feign innocence as to why it no longer works!

Forgot to mention to the OP btw that you can buy your tickets from the local post office, some delis, and local supermarkets (well, Foodland anyway - not sure about the others).

Yep and some schools sell em in their offices or bookroom if it's a private. You can also buy online and get it posted to you....but I hate the things. When I was at school we had a month stamp on a card you showed and you could travel anytime for as long as you wanted.
