Has anyone stayed at the Midway apartments???

Hi everyone

 

We are arriving in August and are considering staying at the Midway apartments in Kurralta Park for a few weeks while we find our feet.

Has anyone stayed there - or know of anyone else who has used them?

Any info would be great.

I presume they are on Anzac Highway then, haven't used them, but it is an ideal location from which to find your feet. Buses go along Anzac Highway into town from many locations so during the day there should be a bus about every 10 mins. From Kurralta park it is about 10 mins walk to the tram which will take you to Glenelg or the city, bout 10 mins to either. There is a Coles supermarket and a Kmart in Kurralta Park for shopping. Kmart is a bit like Asda without the food I think. Further up the road there are a couple of restaurants that are cheap like Caffe Primo and an Indian and the Highway Hotel which is a pub. Anzac Highway is not a highway, it's a main road with a speed limit of 60ks and has three lanes on either side.

Thanks for the info, it's really helpful. looks like we will make that our base for a bit.

We stayed at the Midway apartments when we arrived last Oct. We found them a really good base when you first get here as they are very close to the city.

The apartments are small, but are clean, tidy and furnished with everything you need for when you first arrive. There is a supermarket, off licence and a few other shops next door which is really useful. We did find it a bit noisy at night, but we expected that with it being next to a busy road. I also found them to be very reasonable in price compaired to many of the other short term rental options.

Seems ok and very best wishes... does anyone know of anything a bit bigger ?? I know we have to pay a bit more.

We are arriving in Adelaide on 8 August and have booked to stay at Midway for 4 weeks. I will definitely post when we arrive and let you know what they are like.
