Bay of Biscay soil

Does anyone know which areas in Adelaide are known to have problems with houses cracking because of movement in the Bay of Biscay soil they are built on? I know Unley can be a problem but can't remember any others.

Thanks for that Rach. I couldn't remember the areas. We had wondered why houses in some areas closer to town were cheaper than others.

yeah but also people don't mind the cracking cos the houses are good anyway. People buy houses with cracks here that would have them condemned elsewhere.

Yes you're right about the need to take a sensible view over in SA. We're just a bit cautious as before I left Adelaide a friend had us over for dinner. She had a beautiful villa in Unley but couldn't open her front door and windows at the front of the house due to movement. I wouldn't want to live like that. Apparently every time it was fixed it happened again.
