Air con not as cold as it should be...

We have got our evap air con on and it is on full but it does not seem to be as cold as what i think it should be.

 

Sure its nice if you are under the vents but it doesnt seem to be cold when your not under the vents.

 

Make sense?

 

Any ideas guys?

We have just bought a house with evap air condit and were warned you need to leave some windows and doors open for it to work at it best. Apparently it also isn't so good at temps over 40 degrees but is more fuel efficient than other methods.

 

I'm not an expert though, it's just what we've been told.

cheers for that mate, come to think of it i heard that a while ago too.

 

The last time we had it on it was under 40 deg thats probably what it is then.

yep evap works when you have windows open so it can push the hot air out and circulate but its not much cop for those 40 deg days or if it get humid

We have evap and it is excellent! We leave it on during the night and soemtimes wake up feeling cold!

stop moaning heaps least urs is working

 

ours broke down last week and its soooooooooooo hot we slept in lounge last nite with the only split air con unit in the house
