Brighton has a lovely beach, high school with a very good reputation which is zoned so you have to live there to get the kids in, close to shops, beach etc.

Personally we found the suburbs nearer the city a bit more built up and claustrophobic than we were looking for and you definitely pay more to live there but is a nice suburb ;)

We loved Brighton, lovely little cafe's on Jetty Road great beach and a more laid back, less teenager feel than Glenelg :Dbut as Lisa said the houses are more expensive and you get smaller plots, it really depends on what you are looking for.

Hope this helps

we too loved Brighton - lovely beach, the jetty for a bit of shade - good cafe culture and close to the city too - no wonder it was too expensive for us!

You only have to drive out for a few more minutes to get something bigger for the same money - deends what your priorities are.
